PEACE.
We crave it. We want more of it. But, we have no idea how to make that a reality in the midst of our current chaos or challenging circumstances. As a wife, momma and brain cancer caregiver, I am right there with you. My spirit aches for peace, especially in the midst of this hard season. But oftentimes, I have no earthly idea where to even begin to bring it to fruition. Have you ever looked to scripture to see if there are any powerful bible verses on peace?
What does having peace look like or feel like to you?
Is it the absence of conflict? Is it something that happens only when the kids are sleeping? Or is it just an indescribable feeling that you know is peace when you have it?
We struggle with this because we try to create the peace we crave.
But, in reality, TRUE PEACE cannot be found in a place or another person. It can only be found in THE ONE TRUE Prince of Peace.
As human mommas and caregivers, we are trying so hard to manufacture peace in our homes, in our hearts, and in our circumstances, but then we end up disappointed when it’s short lived, painfully unsatisfying and unsettling.
We try to successfully check off all the right the boxes, we do all the “things…;” yet, our caregiver spirits still moan and ache for something more?
Radical Peace that Makes No Sense
May I suggest to you sweet sister that we are looking in all the wrong places for this indescribable feeling of peacefulness, calmness and assurance.
We are trying to strive for and give ourselves something that God never intended for us to be able to give ourselves.
God’s Word is full of beautiful bible verses on peace…this radical, unexplainable peace that makes no sense to us except for the fact that we know WE WANT IT AND NEED MORE OF IT!
Can I get an “AMEN” friends?
This is by no means an exhaustive list of bible verses on peace but it’s a great place to start as you journey in tandem with Christ towards a more peaceful existence found in him alone.

My Prayer for Peace for You (and Me)
Heavenly Father, our hearts are troubled. Our spirits are unsettled by all that is going on around us and in our lives.
Father, our circumstances feel hard; too much for us to bare alone.
The noise of the chaos circling around us is deafening. I ask that you overwhelm our spirits with your precious peace…the radical peace that cannot be explained; the kind of peace that leaves our lips speechless.
Our hearts crave the peace we read about in Scripture.
Father God, bring this peace to life in our lives.
When our spirits struggle Lord, slow us down, quiet our racing thoughts and draw us closer to you, where we can rest our weary souls and find solace in the Prince of Peace. Amen.
